Here are some horror-comedy films that most people could enjoy.

FrightNight

Fright Night

Horror movies are your typical fantasy, but how often can you differentiate between what is real and what is fake? Most people would be able to survive their own horror movie. Charley becomes obsessed with Jerry and Billy when they move in just next to her. A horror-comedy movie follows a man who tries to save the day, but his best friend’s girlfriend and a washed-up horror host join him. Charley wants to keep the women of his community safe from Jerry Dandridge but he should have minded his own business. Charley’s desire for safety is admirable, but it could’ve been avoided if he just minded his own business. The research found most people could survive an encounter with a horror film. That is if you can resist the temptation of an illustrious man who looks like Chris Sarandon. Then you’ll be “so cool, Brewster.”

The Lost Boys

The Lost Boys

When the fictional family of Michael and Sam moves to the Californian town of Santa Carla, their new friends quickly befriend them. Sam is shown through association with Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander. Michael however, is not as lucky, he’s taken in by a dark group of vampires led by Kiefer Sutherland. This film is the tale of a boy named Sam who, along with two friends, has to try and stop Michael from becoming an undead blood drinker while they keep their escapades a secret from his mother. Vampires liked being a vampire in the 1980s because they can apparently wear awesome clothes, hang out on the pier, fly, never age, be able to play mind tricks on mortals, and heal wounds at a rapid rate. You’ll get used to drinking blood eventually. Becoming one of the Lost Boys sounds pretty awesome, huh? The only reason Michael’s family intersects with David’s gang is because of the coincidence that it happens to be almost intentional. If this happened to any other person, chances are they would’ve become a vampire and lived happily ever after. Technically they’d be living, not “surviving”.

Fido

Fido

The criminally underseen zombie comedy Fido features a war won by humans because of ZomCon Corp. They develop collars that render zombies harmless, but perfect for work or pets. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic world that resembles what society looked like during the 50s. With how easy it is to beat “Fido,” the hero of the film is an elementary school-aged child. The mom, and any adults watching, who have difficulty surviving “Fido” just prove Charles Darwin’s claim that humans are descended from ancient apes and chimpanzees.

Hosus Pocus

Hocus Pocus

“Considering “Hocus Pocus” is a family film from Walt Disney Pictures, it should come easy to survive in this comedy-horror classic. Moving from Los Angeles to a remote New England community, Max Dennison is determined to be seen as cool at his new school as he was back in LA. The Sanderson Sisters have been dead for a long time, but Max (Omri Katz) accidentally awakens them when he can’t believe in the superstitious myth that it could bring them back. The Sanderson Sisters spent three centuries partying in Hell with the Devil because Max had not left the Black Flame Candle alone. Although most people would leave a candle that said “HEY, DON’T DO THIS!” alone, most people would not have any problems remaining safe during “Hocus Pocus.”

Tucker & Dale vs Evel

Tucker & Dale vs Evel

Many horror movies portray the inhabitants of backwoods locations as bad people, which is why in Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil, two friends are murdered by college-goers who got them confused with killers. Even though the group does their best to avoid death, they wind up in worse conditions than had they just allowed their cabin to be renovated. Some people have been falsely unenlightened in thinking that two best friends who are renovating a home where they’re spending their vacation deserve nothing but harm. Know this, most horror movies will not have any survivors with the exception of the enlightened people.
